Pupils at a school were given a chance to think about their futures, in both work and education, at an extensive careers fair.

Attended by a number of leading universities, as well as employers such as Ernst and Young and the Metropolitan Police, Bentley Wood High School for Girl’s annual event provided much food for thought.

The school, based in Stanmore, wanted to showcase the number of options available to them as they move through their studies there.

And teachers described the “genuine buzz” at the fair as the girls spoke about their motivations and aspirations with the representatives.

One student noted how the day had made her think about which GCSE subjects to choose, and how this would hopefully contribute to her university application in the future. Another marvelled at the variety of courses available in further education.

Bentley Wood has lined up after school lectures by some of the organisations that attended the careers fair so students can gain an even deeper understanding of what they can offer.
