A orchestra will be joined by a finalist from the BBC Young Musician of the Year when it performs in a Watford church next month.
Joseph Longstaff will perform Strauss’ Horn Concerto no. 1 with Audentior Symphony Orchestra, Watford’s newest and most ambitious orchestra.
The 21-year-old was a brass finalist in the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition in 2020.
He is currently studying at the Karajan Conservatoire in Berlin but is travelling back to the UK to perform with Audentior Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, March 25.
The orchestra will also perform Dvorak’s Symphony no. 8 and Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture.
The concert follows Audentior Sympony's popular film music spectacular, which sold out the Clarendon Muse just before Christmas.
Their Easter concert will take place on March 25 at 7.30pm at St Michael’s and All Angel’s Church in Mildred Avenue, WD18 7DY.
Tickets can be bought at Audentior Symphony Orchestra’s online box office at https://www.tickettailor.com/events/audentiorsymphonyorchestra/836167/.
They cost £15 for adults and £10 concessions for Under-10s, Over-65s and students with a valid student ID. Pre-booking is strongly advised.
