People have given a thumbs up to news that the King George Recreation Ground’s splash park in Bushey is now open after a fault.
Friends of King George’s Facebook group announced yesterday (June 22) that the splash pool had been repaired and will be open from 10am to 5pm.
It added: “Don’t forget if it stops working it may need a pressure pad pressing.”
The post received several ‘likes’ and ‘loves’ and people commenting saying they are looking forward to going.
One person said: “Thanks to the Friends for their hard work in supporting the efforts to get the splash park open again.”
Another said: “We should go up with babies.”
Hertsmere County Council confirmed that the splash park is now open.

It was planned to reopen on Saturday, June 10 but it did not due to the chlorine dosing unit not giving accurate readings.
The splash park had also closed last year in July and August due to technical faults.
Due to the third error, Liberal Democrat councillors suggested the splash park is either fully re-equipped or it’s recovered back to a paddling pool.
The council said it is concentrating on an immediate fix and will then conclude a fuller review to determine the longer-term future of the facility.
