Two Hertfordshire restaurants have been nominated for the 2023 Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards.
Zaffran One in St Albans and Raj of India in Welwyn Garden City have both made it as finalists for the awards.
The ceremony is being held on Sunday, October 8, at the Hilton on Park Lane, London.
Finalists have been invited alongside MPs and celebrities for the ceremony which is being presented by BBC presenters Samantha Simmonds and Paul Martin.
The finalists have been decided after public nominations, formal assessments of a variety of topics and food hygiene ratings.
Both Zaffran One and Raj of India have been nominated for the Regional Restaurant of the Year – Hertfordshire.
Other awards which will be presented on the night include Champions of Champions, National Chef of the Year and National Takeaway of the Year.
The awards will be honouring the UK’s Pan Asian cuisine and will be bring together chefs and restaurant staff from across the country.
