Half term is not far away, with children and teachers earning a well-deserved rest.
Keeping the kids entertained can be a tricky task for parents as you can easily run out of ideas.
Here is a list of events happening in and around Watford for the week off from school.
Paradise Wildlife Park
This Hertfordshire Zoo is hosting a Halloween event from October 21 to 29 and will include seasonal activities and dressing up.
It will also be hosting Dinos After Dark which is an opportunity to see the dinosaur land by moonlight.

Discover the Dark Arts
The Harry Potter Studio Tour is currently decorated for Halloween as well as hosting a procession of Death Eaters from the movie throughout the building.
You can also learn wand combat with one of the film’s choreographers, with the Death Eaters’ symbol projected across the studio.

Watford Market Lates
This is being held on October 27 between 6pm and 10pm, with visitors encouraged to dress for Halloween.
There will be an opportunity for children to do a Halloween trail and enjoy treats.
It will also include a performance from Scary Canary at 7pm as well as magician and street food for both adults and children to enjoy.
There will also be a bar serving a range of drinks and is free to enter.

Atria Watford’s Halloween Half Term
There will be a week full of Halloween events in Watford’s shopping centre.
From Monday, October 23, 11am to 4pm daily, children will be able to get involved with a variety of Halloween-themed crafts and activities across half term.
Children will be able to decorate biscuits, make slime and build haunted houses.
They are free to get involved with and will be outside Puttshack every day.

You Matter Children’s Performing Arts Week
This is a week of free sessions which children can get involved with, including singing, dancing and acting.
All sessions will be supported by a trained professional.
It is happening in the Meriden Community Centre from 9.30am to 3pm every day, with it being suitable for children aged eight to 16-years-old.
