These eateries in and around Watford were all recently rated 5/5 for food hygiene, is your favourite among them?

The reports have revealed that five restaurants and one takeaway all received 'very good' hygiene ratings in the last few weeks.

The Kings Langley Tandoori, 43 High Street, received top marks after it was inspected on February 7.

Owner Janu Miah posted a photo of the restaurant staff on Facebook to celebrate and thanked customers for their support.

The following Watford restaurants, cafés and takeaways also received 5/5 upon inspection:

  • BBs Coffee & Muffins at Intu, 53 atria Watford, inspected on January 30.
  • C'est Juice, 253 St Albans Road, Watford, inspected on January 31.
  • RFC at 119 Courtlands Drive, Watford, inspected on February 5.
  • Junction Cafe at 101a St Albans Road, Watford, inspected on February 6.
  • Cafe Rosa, 82 Queens Road, Watford, inspected on February 8.

The café at the Glow In One indoor golf course at 135 The Parade, High Street, Watford, also received a 4/5 'good' rating based on an inspection on January 5.

The results show that 65 per cent of the restaurants and cafes rated by Watford Borough Council, 146 of the 223, have 'very good' food hygiene. 

Environmental Health officers from Watford and Dacorum councils visited the restaurants without notice and graded them on three categories: hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and building, and the management of food safety.

The scores are added together to give a score between zero and five, with the lowest meaning 'urgent improvement necessary', and the highest 'very good'.
