A Bushey fitness centre is “thrilled” to be named ‘Your Favourite Gym' by Watford Observer readers.

Anytime Fitness Bushey, at 26-28 Aldenham Road offered a “heartfelt thank you” to all those who voted for it in our annual ‘Your Favourite’ competition.

The gym said the award served as a testament to the “hard work, dedication, and passion” the staff bring to work, as well as reflecting its inclusivity and commitment.

It is one of 191 Anytime Fitness locations across the UK, and offers 24/7 access to gym equipment with personal or small group training.

“This award inspires us to continue enhancing our personalised wellness experiences, ensuring that our gym is a place where everyone feels welcome, supported, and empowered to achieve their personal best.”

Each year, the Watford Observer 'Your Favourite' competition shines a light on treasured local business in specific categories, from the local Chinese takeaways to the best pubs and barbers.

Also nominated for the award by our readers were the Central Watford Leisure centre, The Gym Group in Imperial Park, the Rebourne Gym in Elstree, and Darwin Wellness in Northwood.

Anytime Fitness Bushey said the support from the community had been “nothing short of incredible” since it opened in autumn 2020.

It features all the equipment needed to get started from free weights for strength training, to treadmills and exercise bikes.

The gym has said it is dedicated to making fitness accessible for all and “helping each member to find their strength” in an inclusive space.

The nominations have now closed for the next competition 'Your Favourite Garden Centre', and today (March 18) readers will have the chance to vote for their choice.

Voting will close on April 16 and the winner will be presented with an engraved trophy, a professionally printed vinyl banner, and a certificate plus a feature in the local newspaper.
