The opening date for Wagamama's soon-to-open second Watford location has been announced.

On Monday, May 27, the pan-Asian restaurant chain will officially unveil its Woodside Leisure Centre restaurant.

The branch will seat 132 diners, including 34 seats outside, and open seven days a week. The brand added that it will create 60 new jobs in the area.

Wagamama head of regional marketing, Sita Wood, said: “We are so excited to open the doors to our brand-new restaurant in Watford.

“Our benches will soon be welcoming the local community and visitors at Watford Woodside, and we can’t wait to serve up some of our newest dishes and fresh favourites.

“Our fantastic new team have been working hard to ensure we’ll bring our much-loved Wagamama experience to our guests and they’re so excited to land in their beautiful new restaurant once work is complete.”

The new location will be open from 11am to 10pm every day except for Saturday, when it will be open 11am to 11pm.

In February, Watford was included in a list of 10 UK locations where the chain aimed to open a new branch - before the company’s branding appeared outside the store.
