To coincide with the centenary of the start of the First World War, historians David Tavener and Peter Taylor have written a book paying tribute to the nine St Albans City players who lost their lives whilst serving for their country.
It looks at the club during and between the two wars, the extensive redevelopment of Clarence Park during the 1920s and the wartime exploits of several of the City players.
The book, which costs £5, can be purchased from the club during office hours and on matchdays and is also available on ebay.
Profits through sales will be split between the club and a charity yet to be decided.
