Henley author Kathryn Glendinning has written a tale of collusion and family betrayal in her semi-autobiographical account, After Gus.
The story takes place after the sudden death of Jenny's father, Gus.
She believes her mother has conspired to manipulate Gus' will, so that it favours Jenny's elder brother, Rory. At first Jenny is unwilling to accept her mother is anything but genuine and trustworthy, but soon she comes to understand her own mother has betrayed her.
With the entire family siding against her, Jenny is left facing a real dilemma: should she fight for what is rightfully hers or turn her back on her family forever?
After Gus by Kathryn Glendinning is published by Stamford House Publishing at £7.99. Available now at all good bookshops.
