AMERICAN TEEN
The big picture: Truly fascinating documentary-drama written, produced and directed by award-winning filmmaker Nanette Burstein. Set in a small town in Indiana, the film follows a group of high school seniors and their daily struggles, insecurities, friendships, relationships and fights, not to mention exams. Despite what weʼre all told, will these turn out to be the best days of their lives?

FLAME AND CITRON
The big picture: Copenhagen, 1944. While the local people hope for a swift end to the War, two men codenamed Flame and Citron secretly risk their lives fighting for the resistance. When a hidden agenda emerges, they find themselves out on their own but focus all their efforts on getting to the much feared and hated Chief of the Gestapo. Based on actual eyewitness accounts, the movie stars Mads Mikkelsen, who played James Bondʼs nemesis, Le Chiffre, in Casino Royale.

WATCHMEN (PG)
The big picture: Eagerly awaited fantasy adventure directed by Zack ( 300) Snyder, based on the celebrated DC Comics graphic novel. In an alternate society, a mixed group of masked crime-fighters unites to unravel a murderous conspiracy and watch over humanity – but as they do so, who is watching them? The yearʼs hottest young cast includes Malin Ackerman, Matthew Goode, Billy Crudup and Carla Gugino.

THE YOUNG VICTORIA
The big picture: Producer Martin Scorsese and the makers of Gosford Parkpresent Queen Victoriaʼs early rise to power, a story loaded with drama, romance and intrigue. Emily Blunt (above) embodies the young Queen, opposite Rupert Friend as the object of her affections, Prince Albert. This is a class act – their terrific fellow cast members include Jim Broadbent, Paul Bettany, Miranda Richardson and Mark Strong.
