Installations, live performances and workshops by visual artists, designers, gastronomists and musicians – Hyperlink is a free, three-day festival for young people by young people that has something for everyone.

Part of a series of eight festivals called Circuit, Hyperlink has been curated by Tate Collective London, a group of young creatives aged 15 to 25 who have produced a dynamic programme for young audiences at Tate Modern.

Hyperlink will feature exciting performances by critically acclaimed musicians such as Akala, George the Poet and rapper Sway.

In addition to live music, there will be artist-run workshops, installations and interactive artworks. One installation will see the Turbine Hall transformed with a cascading flotilla of handmade boats. Visitors can pop by for five minutes, stay for a few hours or return for a second day.

St Albans fashion photographer Rankin will be running a small number of workshops for participants to experience what it’s like to be on the set of a photo shoot.

“The Hyperlink festival and the focus on engaging young persons in art is a much-needed initiative in the current artistic climate,” says Rankin, “and something that I feel very strongly about. I was keen to offer my services to the scheme and I look forward to seeing it progress over the next five years.”

Other highlights include It’s Nice That presenting zine-making workshops with No Zine and Zineswap, where visitors can create and contribute to a zine to take home; Stooki x Stooki Sound, who will bring trap music to The Tanks in the gallery and whose bass and minimalist sound will reverberate around the space with synchronised visuals; and Raw Material presenting a fusion of live art, electronic sound, song, spoken word and visual art.
