See the geometry of Rickmansworth’s rooftops, the shadows of its buildings and the textures of their bricks as they are brought to life in an exhibition this summer.
Jane Cousins’ new collection of work is based around maps of the area and invites you to look at Rickmansworth.
In Rickmansworth From All Sides, running until August 26, Jane uses satellite imagery and recycled maps, tactile artworks are created in machine stitch and fabric through the display.
Elaine Johnson, community arts development officer for Three Rivers, says: “I am very pleased to have Jane exhibiting with us. She has formed a new collection of work especially for the show and she can tell people all about it in her creative workshops.”
Jane will also be running a series of workshops for people of all ages, where you can learn how to build your own boat and other items using papier mâché or origami. The activities, on July 15 and 18, are suitable for all ability levels and materials will be provided.
