BBC's The Choir has shown the nation what the singers of South Oxhey are made of, now the area’s visual artists have a chance to shine with All Sorts, an exhibition organised by community based charity ASCEND, which will be on show at Watford Grammar School for Girls until Wednesday, December 16.

Under the guidance of Watford artist David Waterman, who has been running classes in oil and watercolour at ASCEND for the past three years, members have created a total of 42 paintings.

“I set weekly projects to experiment with different mediums within oil or watercolours such as painting with bleach or ink or putting down the brush and picking up palette knife,” says David.

“Every one of them is a character in their own right and I try to show them how to explore their individual styles and challenge their abilities.”

All Sorts is on show at The Visual Arts Centre, Watford Grammar School For Girls, Lady’s Close, Watford. Open Monday and Wednesday 4pm to 8pm.
