Keep watching the skies, the Watford-based UFO Academy at High Elms Manor is expecting a lot of visitors this weekend.

No, they cannot guarantee occupants of interplanetary craft, but they are holding a conference with a number of experts in the field.

Guest speakers include crop circle investigators and talks cover such subjects as Hollywood’s depiction of aliens and the reality of extra-terrestrial contact.

Award-winning writer Mark Bennett will be on hand to discuss the spiritual side of UFO study. Mark appeared in the recent BBC3 documentary I Believe in UFOs and is co-author with Richard Lawrence of Gods, Guides and Guardian Angels and Prayer Energy.

A member of The Aetherius Society, Mark’s beliefs centre on the teachings of Dr George King (1954-1997).

“For more than 20 years King had various paranormal experiences on a day-to-day basis,” says Mark. “He had mediumistic contact with people who were between lives waiting to reincarnate. Through his advanced state of spiritual ability, King could act as a channel for beings millions of years our superiors. The message he received was that when people ask ‘give us a sign’, the response is, ‘no you give us a sign’. They won’t land openly among us until were ready.”

So although we may not be closer to an actual close encounter, according to Mark we are able to harness their energy for the good of mankind.

Mark will be discussing UFOs: The Spiritual Dimension at the Into the Unknown 4 conference held by the Watford-based UFO Academy, High Elms Manor, High Elms Lane, Watford on August 20 at 2.30pm.
