CELEBRATION is in the air as 2012 brings us the Diamond Jubilee and the London Olympics, giving visual artists across Hertfordshire a golden opportunity to put their creativity to the test.

Organised by Herts Visual Arts, Herts Open Studios runs from September 8-30 and welcomes all local artists to invite the public in to view their work or for arts collectives to exhibit together in a shared space. Whether you’re a sculptor or engraver, painter in oil, acrylic or watercolour, a photographer – both digital and film or a craftsperson working in ceramics, jewellery, glass, textiles, calligraphy, graffiti or you’re a fashion designer – Herts Open Studios is for you.

A meeting for participants to get the most out of the event is being arranged for the end of February and help is at hand throughout the process from HVA’s team of volunteer area coordinators.
