One man's waste is another man's treasure, as shown by Oxfordshire sculptor Daren Greenhow and his recycled artwork.

His innovative metal sculptures, which are created from reclaimed bicycle parts, will be on display at the Gallery at Waterperry this weekend, with a visit by the artist himself.

Outside the gallery, within the setting of Waterperry Gardens, visitors will be able to marvel at Daren's two-metres tall Fish On A Bicycle, as well as his imposing high-winged crane, which boasts a height of four metres.

Inside the gallery, art lovers can see Daren's smaller works, including intricate butterflies, wall lizards made from bicycle chains and a variety of elegant birds.

Waterperry Gallery manager Kate Hipkiss says: "I want Waterperry to become known as a place for high-quality arts and crafts, as well as contributing towards the growing Oxford arts scene."

Daren Greenhow arrives at the Gallery at Waterperry, near Wheatley, Oxfordshire, tomorrow (Saturday). Details: 01844 338085 or www.waterperrygardens.co.uk
