If you’re a talented young pop group, signed to an independent label and trying to make it the ‘old school’ way by constant writing, recording and performing, how do you try and give yourselves a bit of a boost to stand out from the crowd of X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and The Voice fame-chasers?

Well, you get English acting royalty like Jeremy Irons to star in your latest music video.

EverYoung, an up and coming, London-based four-piece that includes 19-year-old Eyal Booker from Radlett, formed two and a half years ago at the Sylvia Young Theatre School, where they were all pupils, and are the first group to be signed to Sylvia’s fledging record label, Seymore Place Music. Their head teacher knew Jeremy Irons and told him about the group, and the actor was so impressed by their work ethic that he offered to help on their single Starchaser.

“He was taken aback by the fact that we’re just doing it because we love it,“ says Eyal, who grew up in Bushey. “We thought he’d just do some kind of feature link to the video – ‘Hi, I’m Jeremy Irons, check out EverYoung’ – but he’s in the video.“

The award-winning actor plays the grumpy owner of the EverYoung Café, trying to keep his staff – Eyal and his bandmembers, Hollie McKinlay, Cherelle Williams and Jack Morlen – under control. The video was filmed over two days in Shoreditch.

“We didn’t actually get to meet him because we were turning on some Christmas lights in Wales, which was a real shame,“ says Eyal, “but he gave us a phone call afterwards, we all had a little chat with him and he was really nice.“
