A Watford-born composer is appealing for support to help fund his début album of contemporary choral music.

James Dunlop, who went to Watford Grammar School for Boys, is busy working on Ascension in collaboration with the Portsmouth Cathedral Choir and plans to release the 12-track work in November.

Members of the public can help fund James’ 18-month project through a 30-day Kickstarter campaign which has recently gone live.

Those who lend their support will have the chance to participate with its development and, depending on the level of donation, can commission and name tracks which will mainly be a cappella works.
