WITH a change of record label and a host of personal problems since the release of You See Colours in 2006, you could be forgiven for assuming that Delays may have lost some of the happy-go-lucky qualities that endeared them to their fans.
However, right from the first track, Girl's On Fire, it is clear that the Southampton band have gone for a sound that is bigger, bolder and more stadium-worthy than ever before.
The perfect harmonies are still there, but vocals from keyboardist Aaron on four tracks (most notably One More Lie In) make the record a little quirkier and rougher around the edges.
Delays' strongest point has always been reaching out on an emotional level. Everything's The Rush manages to both retain this appeal and make you want to turn the speakers up.
