de Havilland Philharmonic celebrates the work of Samuel Barber

Marking 100 years since the birth of Samuel Barber, the de Havilland Philharmonic opens its next concert, on Sunday, February 7, with his overture The School for Scandal.

Award-winning British cellist John Myerscough will then perform Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No 1. The programme concludes with Rachmaninov Symphony No 2.
