artsdepot plays host to two free music events this weekend.
On Friday at 8.30pm, guitarist and singer, Conor Doherty, performs hand-picked traditional and contemporary folk songs from England, Ireland and America, penned by some of the genre’s finest songsmiths.
His musical influences come from performers including Dick Gaughan, Tony Rose, Crosby, Stills and Nash, and Joni Mitchell. His guitar playing has been hailed as “flawless”.
More music comes on Sunday at 1pm, when Plastic Chairs will perform toe- tapping, finger-clicking, heart-pumping music inspired by Greece and the Balkans.
Both performances take place in the foyer at artsdepot, 5 Nether Street, Finchley.
