The Sugababes are dead, long live the Sugababes.
With the ashes still cooling from last original member Keisha’s departure, the indestructible threesome are back with a new member from the production line and, oh yeah, their seventh album.
Line up aside, you can count on these girls to hit you with a fresh musical approach each time, with Sweet 7 no exception.
While they keep the candyfloss pop charm and belting ballads of old, Sugababes’ sound is injected with the dirty basslines and danceable R&B beats on offer from cosying up with hip-hop hall of famer Jay-Z.
Standout tracks Get Sexy and new single Wear My Kiss plunge headfirst into slick and seductive R&B with pop sprinklings. Like them or loathe them, you’ll sing along to this album.
