Eight actors from Watford have got groove, they’ve got meaning, Grease is the way they are feeling, as they appear in a production of the much-loved 1950s-set high school musical by St Albans Operatic Society.

It’s 1959 and passions are running high at Rydell, between the T-Birds and the Pink Ladies, as Danny and Sandy, after having spent a romantic summer together, find that their lives are very different back in the real world. The students deal with love, friendship, pregnancy and gang violence – will these things bring them together or pull them apart?

Elise Allanson and Adam Keene play Rizzo and Kenickie respectively, and are joined by fellow Watford residents Emma Parker, Charlotte Cook, Harrison Evans, Zodiac O’Neill, and Aditi Sawjani as Marti and Adam Feighoney as Sonny.

Don’t be a Beauty School Drop-out – fun-filled Summer Nights like this don’t come along very often. After all, There Are Worse Things You Could Do. You’ll be Hopelessly Devoted.
