Animal antics await at Hemel Old Town Hall this Saturday as Idolrich Theatre Rotto Productions present a Forest Of Fables, based on Aesop’s ancient stories about the birds and beasts, that’s suitable for children aged five and up.
Expect visual high jinks as a host of puppetkind bring to life such well-loved characters as Loudmouthed Lion, who has a bad gnat in his ear, skittish Ass who frisks about on her high heels, the cheese seeking Fox and industrious Spider, who knits and swings from the branches of the fabulous forest.
Children can also take part in a pre-show Forest of Fables Puppet Workshop from noon to 1.30pm before the performance at 2.30pm.
