An exhilarating adventure story of survival and self-discovery will take to the big screen this weekend as the National Theatre’s production of Terry Pratchett’s Nation is broadcast live to more than 300 venues worldwide, including East Finchley’s Phoenix Cinema.
Featuring live music, dance and extraordinary puppets, Nation is set in a parallel world in 1860. Two teenagers, Mau and Daphne, are thrown together by a tsunami that has destroyed Mau’s village and left Daphne shipwrecked on his South Pacific island, thousands of miles from home.
Nation will be shown on Saturday at 1.45pm, at the Phoenix Cinema, High Road, East Finchley. Tickets: 020 8444 6789, www.phoenixcinema.co.uk
