By Melanie Dakin
Sharing strengths and showcasing talent from all walks of life is important to our community. Watford Inclusive Network is hosting an open day so that different organisations can come together and interact with the public at large.
The event is open to everyone, so if you’re an artist or musician it’s still not too late to get involved. The day will feature live music, short films, workshops, guest speakers and therapy sessions and is designed to appeal to parents, carers, disabled children and adults.
Groups participating include Watford Mencap who will be hosting an exhibition; and both Disability Recreation Unity Movement (DRUM) and Herts Inclusive Theatre (HIT) will be showcasing films and holding exhibitions. Herts Music Service will present two performances and a music workshop and the Dan Tien are hosting jewellery making and t-shirt printing workshops. Stalls include Dancebase, HertBeats and Disability Watford.
There will also be an interactive installation by Polyphant where visitors can add their own building designs to create a collective skyline and landscape.
Holywell Community Centre, Tolpits Lane, Watford on Saturday, December 11 from 11am-4pm. Details: 01923 254400
