Russian violinist Alexandra Soumm, winner of the Eurovision Competition for Young Musicians in Lucerne in 2004 at the age of 14, will be the next guest soloist to play alongside London Mozart Players at a forthcoming concert at the Centenary Hall in Berkhamsted Collegiate School.
Alexandra will join the players under conductor Alexander Shelley for a short but power-packed programme of favourites, which includes Mozart's Marriage of Figaro Overture and Symphony No 39 and Beethoven's Violin Concerto.
Alexandra emigrated with her family from Russia to France when she was just a baby, the 18-year-old now studies in Austria with Professor Kuschnir.
Audiences can see this impressive young violinist in action on Saturday, May 10 at Berkhamsted Collegiate School, Kings Road, Berkhamsted at 7.45pm.
