CREATIVE students from several departments within West Herts College have been busy preparing work for their first summer show, which opens at the Space2 gallery at Watford Museum this week.

A whole host of art and design work will be on display, including photography, 3D design, illustration, graphic design, fashion and media production, as well as a range of ceramics and prints.

Among the items are book jacket illustrations, fashion plates, colourful canvases and ceramic wall tiles.

Dan Pearson, Head of School for Art, Design, Media and Performing Arts at West Herts College, says: "This is an excellent opportunity not only for our students to gain experience of exhibiting their work in a public environment but also for the public to see just how good their work is."

West Herts College will be exhibiting at Space2 galleries at Watford Museum, Lower High Street, Watford and the Customer Service Centre, Town Hall, Watford, from Thursday, May 22 to Saturday, July 19. Opening times are Thursday to Saturday, from 10am to 5pm.
