Follow the adventures of Rene the hapless café owner and his wife Edith, who are struggling to keep for themselves a priceless portrait stolen by the Nazis and kept in a sausage in their cellar.
At the same time, Rene is hiding two British airmen and, with the help of the resistance, is trying to repatriate them. But communications with London through a wireless disguised as a cockatoo and an impending visit from the Fuhrer, leading to the café becoming filled with tricksters impersonating Hitler, lead to mayhem.
