Last chance to object to plans

Residents have a final chance to register their opposition to the possible development of an historic farm.
Veolia, which owns Three Valleys Water, wants land it owns around Oxhey Hall Farm, including a 700-year-old grade II listed timber-frame barn, reclassified so it no longer has to be used for agriculture.
Three Rivers District Council has twice rejected the company's applications for the change of use, and Veolia has now appealed the matter to the secretary of state. Ahead of the public inquiry, which will be held at Three Rivers House, Rickmansworth, on Wednesday, February 21, and Thursday, February 22, residents are being urged to sign a petition against the reclassification.
Those who wish to register their support can sign the document at Oxhey Hall Barns, opposite Oaklands Avenue at noon on Sunday. For further information about opposing Veolia's appeal telephone 01923 232 966.
