Plea for camcorder's return

Parents of a toddler are desperate to be reunited with a camcorder containing their daughter's first memories after it was stolen when their house was burgled.

In the early hours of Sunday morning, Dave Carter awoke to find his house had been burgled, while his wife and three daughters slept.

He said: "Everything that was stolen can be replaced, but we are desperate to get the camcorder back because it contains our two-year-old, Rose's, first steps, first words, everything, from when she was a few hours old until now.

"We are so upset and would appeal to the emotional side of whoever did this to return the camcorder."

Dave, of Nightingale Close, Abbots Langley, explained that he would be willing to give a reward if it means being reunited wuth the camcorder.

He said: "We are always watching videos of our other daughters, Hannah and Georgia, we love reminiscing. If we do not get the camcorder back, we will have lost two years of our daughter's life."

His wife, Charlie, said: "There were some very special memories that we just did not get a chance to download, there was footage of Rose singing her first song and of her first steps.

"You can never re-create it, it is heartbreaking."
