Jobi McAnuff was voted your star performer in Sunday's play-off semi-final first leg and he will be aiming for more of the same tomorrow when the Hornets travel to the KC Stadium bidding to overturn the 2-0 deficit and reach Wembley.

The Watford wide-man polled 8.4 out of ten for the first game against Hull City in our online match ratings, with Tommy Smith next best on 7.7.

He was a different player sunday. What made the difference? I would love to know because he has been average at best all season.

I know a lot of people like to see Tommy on the wing but I thought he looked quite good pushing into the space between their defence and midfield and running at defenders, it creates space and draws defenders away from their natural positions and people they r marking ... Having said that the position is only of use if you play the ball on the floor.
I have a feeling we will see Henderson back and I just hope that we dont revert back to hoofball ... A goal in the first 20 mins would be what the doc ordered !!

Team selection is vital tomorrow. Priskin did look sharp with the ball being knocked around on the floor but cannot justify a start ahead of Dazza. I know you all love to hate Ellington, but one of the main successes with the system on sunday was the way Ellington and or Smith dropped off and pulled Hull players out of position. Not particularly spectacular on the eye, but effective all the same. This created the space for McAnuff to play his best game in a Watford shirt to date and sling in the sort of crosses that Hendo has lacked all season. Aidy has some tough calls to make, personally i would like to see Marriappa thrown in at right back as his first touch and attacking qualities are streets ahead of the 100% but no skill and shocking touch of Lloydy. Hope we've practised penalties coz i wouldn't be surprised if......

Didnt Bromby used to play right back for Sheff utd fairly often ? .. I would go bromby right back with demerit (who played well when he came on) in the middle , lloyd just has not got the distribution to play the passing game .. Aidy please please stick with the passing game even if u bring back Doris. its what every fan wants, if we lose playing that way and show commitment then most fans will cheer you off the pitch anyway ...

The fact we played more football?

In possesion of the ball he was sharper and had a lot more urgency, thats not down to the rest of the team playing more football; although they certainly did at last.

Jobi benefitted from the change in emphasis.

We were so different without Henderson. I hope hendo can play in that system because he is a trier and we could also throw in the odd long ball for a better mix.

By the way for all those ellington detractors he won a fair bit in the air and his flick ons were consistent.

That E

llington can control the ball is not in question, what is,is the little impact he has or the goal threat that he carries.

Passes & crosses will give TP & DH more chance than aerial bombs.DS will not be missed in that regard as he is the worst offender.Indeed for all his goal threat he gave away the opening goal on sunday.
