Dan Shittu has failed to recover from the hamstring injury he picked up at Vicarage Road on Sunday and misses tonight's Championship play-off second leg at the KC Stadium.

The nine-goal defender is replaced by Jay DeMerit while Adrian Mariappa has displaced Lloyd Doyley at right back.

Aidy Boothroyd has, as expected, brought leading scorer Darius Henderson straight back into the side at the expense of Lionel Ainsworth who drops to the bench.

Tommy Smith will revert to the right flank as Boothroyd fields his favoured 4-4-2 formation after Sunday's experimental 4-3-3 set-up.

Hull boss Phil Brown has named an unchanged team from the side who 2-0 at Vicarage Road.

Hull: Myhill; Ricketts, Brown, Turner, Dawson; Garcia, Ashbee, Hughes, Barmby; Campbell, Windass.

Watford: Lee; Mariappa, DeMerit, Bromby, Sadler; Smith, Eustace, Williamson, McAnuff; Henderson, Ellington.

Subs: Poom, Ainsworth, Doyley, Priskin, O'Toole.

Bit of a blow, I now revise my 5-1 prediction. We will only win 4-1.

Very disaapointing that Shittu is out as he's the only one likely to score! Why does Boothroyd persevere with Ellington? Priskin looked far more dangerous and skilful when he came on. I suppose now that Henderson' back we will start lumping the ball upfield again. It was a refreshing change to see the ball on the ground on Sunday. Having said all that "COME ON YOU HORNS".

Taxi for Demerit.

Great effort from the other 10 but I'll pack Jay's bags for him - he was at fault for all 4, absolutely atrocious.

I hope Bristol City hammer them in the final.

Congratulations Hull and Thankyou, ten lovely weeks of the closed season, no missed penalties,no firing free kicks at the wall,no parting with hard earned cash,no spin.

Don't expect to see the Shittmeister in a Watford shirt again.

Big Dan has already stated that he wants to play in the Premiership next season, and I wouldn't be surprised if Mr Simpson has told Aidy that he has to sell first before strengthening the squad.

Danny's our biggest asset (literally), so I expect him to be gone within the next few weeks. About £3m should do it.

I also expect that waste of space Ellington to move to Derby for about £2m, simply because Paul Jewell still hankers after the player he was, but, as we all know, is no longer. I'm still convinced Ellington's really Jamie Moralee in disguise. So he had a good 45 minutes last night. Big deal. Pity he was so useless for all the other countless hours.

So thanks Danny, and shut the door on your way out (but don't slam it too hard - it'll probably come off its hinges).
