House in Lancing Way, Croxley Green, has kept up tradition for 33 years

Residents can see one of the tell-tale signs that the festive season is coming to Croxley Green as "the Christmas House" prepares to switch on its lights.

The switching on of festive lights at the home on Lancing Way is an annual tradition stretching back 33 years.

This year the big switch-on will take place on Friday, November 9, at 6pm and organiser David Edwards says he is hoping for a bumper crowd and is asking people to give generously.

Mr Edwards, who arranges hundreds of bulbs on the outside of his house every year, has raised more than £30,000 for various charities over the years.

This year, money donated will be split between The Hospice of St Francis and Malvern Way School in Croxley Green.
