Charities serving South West Hertfordshire have been given a boost this week with grants from Three Rivers District Council.
The Watford New Hope Trust will receive £4,600 to set up a back-to-work scheme for homeless people wanting to retrain in property maintenance and repair.
The Bushey-based Hertfordshire Inclusive Theatre will receive £670 to offer places for drama classes within Three Rivers specifically designed to help children build confidence.
The grants were approved by the council’s Executive Committee on Monday October 15 and both projects are scheduled to begin in January 2013.
