Watford Football Club’s mascot Harry the Hornet had company on the pitch, with a visit from Pudsey Bear.

The Children in Need’s mascot was joined at the Vicarage Road stadium by members of Bushey and Oxhey Round Table on Saturday, October 20.

Originally, Pudsey was only meant to visit prior to Watford’s game against Peterborough, however so many junior Hornets wanted to meet him, he stayed for the entire match and was still having his photograph taken 30 minutes after the final whistle.

His presence helped swell the collection boxes and a total of £630 was donated, all of which will go to Children in Need.

Colin Turnbull, of Bushey and Oxhey Round Table, said: “It was a great afternoon and we'd like to thank Watford Football Club for their hospitality and the fans of both teams who were so generous with their support. Pudsey particularly enjoyed the result as well.”
