BBC film crews descended on Bushey today to film scenes for a Christmas episode of EastEnders.
Actors Perry Fenwick, who plays Billy Mitchell, Danielle Harold as Lola Harris and Jamie Borthwick as Jay Brown were seen outside St James Church in between takes.
Speculation is rife as to what the actors were filming at the church in Bushey High Street, with residents assuming it could be characters Max and Tanya Branning’s wedding.
The soap’s press office would not confirm what scenes were being shot, but notably Max and Tanya were not visible.
Characters Michael Moon, Cora Branning, and Alfie Moon were said to be filming scenes inside the church, with the latter’s Ford Capri visible outside.
A baby was also carried to and from the church repeatedly, leaving residents to speculate that perhaps a christening was being filmed.
