Seems to be an increase of suicides of late, its worrying, society is under pressure from various aspects today - end results are we lock ourselves away and bottle it all up.

Having lost a old school friend this year, can I urge people who are experiencing difficulties, to talk, even to the samaritans. A problem shared is a problem halved.

RIP to this guy, still had many miles left on the clock.

Sorry to say that I cannot see anything but more suicides in the future. The poor are feeling helpless due to the pressure being put on them by the Government. A problem may be halved but it needs to be solved to get peace I know I've been in the dark place and I can feel it's always there out of the corner of my eye waiting to me to revisit.

Bit presumptuous, doesn’t say he committed suicide?

I agree with the sentiments about suicide, but yes it is a bit presumptuous to think this was not a horrible accident

If not an accident, then a totally inconsiderate act to both the driver and passengers (myself included) who were delayed

That is sometimes my first reaction. Especially the bloke found in Cassiobury Park by a group of (now traumatised) Schoolgirls.

But i suppose the Dark place Hornets mentions, makes straight thinking almost impossible! depression is a powerful force.

No matter what governments do from now on - we will forever teeter on recession.

Do the math!

The level of selfishness displayed by some here would stagger me if I hadn't seen it before.

It is far too early to presume it was a suicidal act. Those who do chose to end their lives in a "noisy" way could not, I believe, be doing so out of spite but as a desperate plea. turpster, although presumptuous, is quite right - there IS help available. There ARE people who will listen.

Words fail. But this attitude is what is wrong with the world today.

Some people are either completely thick or just heartless!! Having lost a family member through suicide earlier this month, I would like to assure you all that people who do this are totally not thinking straight, either of the loved ones they leave behind or indeed the poor souls who may find them!! Anybody who has been at such a low place in life should think themselves very lucky and not look down upon people who do feel so low that they no longer have the will to live! My thoughts are with the family of this man and may he rest in peace!!!

the content of websites can and does change. Details are often added or altered after people have left comments.

It could equally have been an accident though.

No, could have stumbled, slipped, fainted to name a few accidental scenarios that could have led to this tragic event.

Nice to see from some of the comments that compassion hasnt totally disappeared from this world of ours

I am the deceased's partner. He was unwell and a lovely person. Myself and his family are devastated. As far as I am concerned your comment is heartless, selfish and inconsiderate. I have never said this to anyone but I hope you suffer the same fate you ****.

angryandhurt, I am so sorry for your loss.

I work on the railway and unfortunately you do get a lot of comments like that. They will always get a stern telling from me if they dare complain in front of me.

my uncle committed suicide, although not by train, so I am fully aware how something like this devastates a family. when someone is thinking like that, they are not in their right mind, they are not thinking about delaying trains, or the hurt it will cause a loved one, the just want the hurt to stop, the pain/stress/heartach
e etc to stop and this is the only way they can see.

once again, I am sorry. I hope your family finds the strength to get through this.

Angryandhurt - some of the comments on here just beggars belief. I can only come to the conclusion, that Nascot has been fortunate enough never to have experienced anything like yourself and partner have had to endure or has ever known anyone close to have suffered.

My thoughts are with you and the family at this moment in time and that a certain indivial may appear here later and use social skills to apologise for any offence caused.

Thank you for your kind words. If that certain person does turn up, no apology will be accepted.
