A Chorleywood charity campaigning to raise awareness about prostate cancer hosted an evening event on Monday at which 80 men were tested.

The event at Chorleywood War Memorial Hall saw seven bioscanners set up to do PSA tests which are less definitive than blood tests but can deliver results in 15 minutes.

Each of the men who underwent the test were provided with a result while they waited and Consultant Urologists Mr Julian Shah and Mr Alvan Pope advised those men whose results were on the high side.

This is the second such event organised this year by Friends of Prostate Sufferers (FOPS).
