People are invited to join a fundraising dog walk in honour of three soldiers from south west Hertfordshire who were killed serving in Afghanistan.
The event, which commemorates Captain Tom Sawyer, Corporal Chris Harrison and Private Tom Lake, will be taking place in Cassiobury Park this Sunday, November 4.
The day has been organised by the families of the slain soldiers and proceeds will go to the Royal British Legion.
Captain Sawyer, 26, who grew up in Watford, was killed while serving in Afghanistan with Royal Artillery in January 2009.
In May the following year Corporal Christopher Harrison, 26, also from Watford, died in an explosion in Afghanistan while serving with Bravo Company, 40 Commando Royal Marines.
Last year Private Tom Lake, 29, from Northwood, was killed in Afghanistan while out on patrol with 1st Battalion The Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment.
Dog walkers taking part in Sunday’s event will be meeting at the Remembrance Memorial by Watford Town Hall at 12.30pm.
People wanting to take part are asked to raise sponsorship. Organisers have said any amount will be accepted but sponsorship of £25 would be greatly appreciated.
To be included or sponsor the walk call Martin Harrison on 07887702949 or Sue Sawyer on 07791078495.
