Power cut hits west Watford

A number of west Watford residents and businesses were plunged into darkness yesterday evening, following a power cut.
According to reports, residents in Cassio Road and Tolpits Lane were affected as were businesses in Watford Business Park.
Dan Hearn, UK Power Networks representative, said: “Engineers worked as quickly and as safely as possible to restore power following a power interruption yesterday evening.
“A fault on a low voltage underground cable occurred at 4.04pm, power was restored to all customers by 5.28pm.
“We appreciate how frustrating it is to be without electricity and apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
