Peace Hospice Radlett Support Group head to Westminster

The Palace of Westminster was the destination for the latest outing of the Peace Hospice Radlett Support Group.

A coach full of Radlett residents toured the Houses of Parliament, visiting both the chambers of the House of Lords and the House of Commons.

Guests enjoyed a sumptuous picnic lunch on the return journey, whilst driving past the London sites including Buckingham Palace.

Group member Brenda Griffiths, who organised the trip on Monday, October 22, said: "We are indebted to our host James Clappison MP and those in his office who arranged the tours for us and to the John Apthorpe Trust who sponsored our travel.

"This means that our trip was not only successful historically and socially, but also financially - raising much needed funds for our local hospice."

Future events for the support group include a Christmas Coffee morning in December and a Call My Wine Bluff evening in February next year.
