Remembrance services on this weekend

Royal British Legion services to mark Remembrance Sunday will take place across south west Hertfordshire this weekend.

The 2012 Poppy Appeal aims to help not only those who serve, but the mothers, fathers, partners and children of serving personnel past and present.

In Watford, the mayor and the chairman of the council will be laying a civic wreath at the Peace Memorial, in front of the Town Hall, on Sunday at 3pm.

There will also be a two-minute silence held at the War Memorial, in the Vicarage Road Cemetery on earlier in the day at 10.45am.

St Peter's Church, Mill End, from 10.15am.

St John's Church, Heronsgate, from 10.15am.

All Saints Church, Croxley Green, from 2.30pm.

Christchurch, Chorleywood, from 3pm.

Chipperfield Common, from 10:50am.

Church of Ascension, Bedmond, from 3pm.

South Oxhey Baptist Church, Gosforth Lane, South Oxhey, from 10.30am.

All Saints Church, South Oxhey, from 10am.

Leavesden War Memorial, High Road, Leavesden, from 11am.

Eastbury Farm School, from 10am.
