Recycling plant fire causes delays on M1 and M25 near Watford Recycling plant fire causes delays on M1 and M25 near Watford

Drivers are facing delays on motorways around Watford after roads have been closed due to a huge fire near St Albans.

A414 and A4147 near the city are closed as firefighters battle a massive blaze in at a recycling plant in Potters Crouch.

The closures are causing delays on the M25 and M1 around Watford and there is temporary 40mph speed limit on the M1 due to the fire.

The M1 may also be closed if the wind changes and blows smoke in its direction.

Firefighters have been dealing with the fire since Saturday night and say it may take up to a week to put out.

Was expecting to see at least a picture or a map showing where the fire was

maps etc are not normally put out until a job has been closed as they do not want a group off onlookers getting in the way, clogging up routes etc
