Children and staff from Oxhey Early Years Centre are celebrating after Ofsted inspectors rated the nursery “outstanding” for the second time in three years.
According to the inspector’s report, every aspect of the nursery was judged to be outstanding including the teaching and learning, leadership and management, behaviour and safety and the achievement of the children.
Cathy Gunning, headteacher, said: "The two day inspection was intense and demanding but thoroughly rewarding.
"It is wonderful that all the hard work and commitment from everyone here including all our teachers, practitioners, support staff and governors has been commended in this way. We are glad children are so happy to come here and that their parents are so supportive.
"The report celebrates everything we have worked hard to achieve."
This is the centre’s second outstanding Ofsted rating this year. In June 2012, the all year round Oxhey Early Years Centre day care provision was inspected and received an “outstanding” classification in every area.
