Police appeal for witnesses to alleged sexual assault in South Oxhey on New Year's Day

Police are appealing for witnesses to an alleged sexual assault in South Oxhey on New Year’s Day.

The incident is alleged to have taken place in Prestwick Road close to Carpenders Park rail station at around 7.10am on Tuesday, January 1.

Sarah Spence, a spokesman for Hertfordshire Constabulary, said: "Officers are making inquiries following an assault which is alleged to have occurred on Tuesday, January 1 at around 7.10am on Prestwick Road.

"Investigations are on-going to determine the exact circumstances of what may have happened and anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area should contact police on 101."

Why haven't Owl network reported this incident to the neighbourhood watch? Surely this is something that local people should be made aware of?
Especially if there is a present threat to females in the area...
