Swimming facilities at William Penn Leisure Centre in Mill End are to remain closed until next week following an electrical fault.
Both pools in the Shepherds Lane centre closed on Tuesday and will remain closed until Monday (January 7).
Other facilities at the centre are unaffected.
A comment on the centre’s website said: "Due to an electrical fault the pool plant room became flooded causing the pool circulation pumps to fail.
"For safety reasons the pools will remain closed until January 7.
"We are working extremely hard to resolve this issue as soon as possible. In the meantime swimmers can use our site at South Oxhey (Sir James Altham Pool) or the Bushey Grove Leisure Centre.
"We apologise for the disruption this has caused."
