Cree-Savannah Montague's poem raises awareness of Hertfordshire Police domestic abuse campaign, True Love?

A Kings Langley school pupil has impressed judges with her poem to raise awareness of the impact domestic abuse can have on young people.

Cree-Savannah Montague, who is a year 10 pupil at the Kings Langley School, is among the six winners who took part in the Hertfordshire Police domestic abuse campaign, True Love?

More than 200 teenagers took part in the campaign, and were asked to write radio scripts after police community support officers visited schools in Hertfordshire to raise awareness of domestic abuse.

The police aimed to put the spotlight on young victims and perpetrators of domestic violence to show that it is not just an adult issue.

Detective Superintendent, Mick Hanlon, said: "We have been so impressed by the really excellent quality of the True Love entries we received."

The winner’s poems were aired on Jack FM in December.
