A friendship tea is to be launched in Kings Langley to provide older residents with an opportunity to make new friends.
Age UK will launch the monthly tea this month to invite older people, who may live alone, be recently bereaved or recovering from being housebound due to ill health to come along and socialise with other residents of their own age.
The teas, which will start on Wednesday, January 23 invite guests to receive information, enjoy a cup of tea with new friends, join in a sing along, celebrate events and listen to guest speakers.
The teas, run by volunteers and jointly with Dacorum Borough Council’s Youth Action Entertainers, last for an hour and 15 minutes and transport is provided if necessary.
For more information on booking a place at the friendship teas, contact Lindsey Doyle on 01442 259049.
